Thanks for confirming my feeling Richard.

Modern gear to my mind doesn't mean his photographs as they stand would 
be any better.
They'd be other photographs, with another character.
Probably another 'signature' to them.

M8: Just that he'd chimp and delete rather than wait ;-) .
So much loss then.
