Could be a big leveraging point..... especially for the >100mm lenses.....
1 design, 2 mounts = 2 "new" lenses... one for the S, the other for the R.

The last of the R lenses seemed to be made that way.....( At least the 90AA
I think wan made like that)

I wouldn't be surprised if S lenses will be useable on the R10 with an
adapter.
