I don't own any R lenses that were not made by Leica but my experience with 
the Zeiss lenses that I own that are M Mount is that there will be some 
Zeiss lenses that should be the equal of Leica (with a different look to the 
images) but this is unlikely wrt all Zeiss lenses.
