Burkina Faso was not kind to my camera gear...... And Colorado dry static climate is even worse in some sense.... Anyhow.... at some point... I got something around the edges of the sensor glass from my can of air or the staticmaster brush that was harder to get off... In a very short period of time... after cleaning.... testing... recleaning.... testing..... etc....and although I thought I was always being careful.... I had a couple of slight scratchs that showed up all of the time.... So I had to send it off to Canon to have the sensor glass replaced.... and well.... it was not cheap..... At this point I will not use anything other than a big bulb type blower...... And I will not touch my sensor glass... period... [well.... I probably will eventually.... when there is no other recourse.....] SO... the old adage applies... better to keep your sensor clean..... than keep cleaning your sensor.... Duane
