Great! So I can chuck the Martin do-dad book I bought for version 1 since it 
will no longer be useful for this totally new program, run out and shell out 
another 50+ USD for the version 2.0?

Sounds like Lightroom was designed to work with PS with the sole goal of 
improving Adobe's bottom line.
