Whitney - several miles away. I've always wondered why, if they have the immediate feedback of digital, they don't realize the flash is doing nothing at that distance. Same for crowds taking flash photos at football games! The first thing you should learn when using a point-and-shoot digital is how to turn off the flash and leave it off!
