We spent Easter and my wife's birthday at her sister's ranch in Blue,
Texas. The ranch is not going to be in the family much longer as my
wife's sister is moving into the city...so I thought I'd take the
opportunity and go photograph some of the trees on the property--the
horses are long gone. Easter also reminded me that we were coming up on
the first anniversary of the passing of my father in law. A WW II pilot
who became a pilot because he'd heard the food was better in the Air
Force--he flew for 30 years after WW II. First time he flew over enemy
territory he thought it was rather pretty with all the "fireworks"
coming up to greet him--until he realized that it was flack.
