I shot the very first Popeye's Fried Chicken Commercial. It was at the Vets
Avenue store. It featured dancing people behind the counter. Later I spent
time in the test kitchen at Popeye's central on the service road at I-10 and
Causeway.

He was quite a guy. He was one of the guys who originated the fat tire
motorcycle, and loved fast boats. I also remember when he decorated his
Metairie home with so many Christmas Lights that it became a landmark, and
there were traffic jams.
