Sneaky? Ah come on Nathan ;-)

Actually, its a way to offset the cost of production - someone has to pay
all those engineers, QA testers, marketing people, experience designers, web
techies, program managers who spend a lot of time making the software.

The number of free updates to ACR is really amazing, considering.

And needless is in the eye of the beholder.  CS3 has a boat load of new
interesting stuff - all for a paltry upgrade fee.
