Rockwell says its too fast.

I kind of a agree to the extent I'd love a slower option. And have both.

Some company maybe Leica needs to come out with a lens or a focal length can
call it a series. Come out with "a lens" and give you a choice of  a fast
pricy heavy version with compromised optics.
A medium grade medium speed lens with excellent optics at a more reasonable
price
And, ok this is three, a slow compact lightweight inexpensive and best
performer of them all.

This is what Leica used to in effect do with their lens line for decades.
I say bring it back!

The sigma 30 1.4 seems about half the size and weight of my monster 28 1.4
Nikkor which is hard to focus. At one forth the price.
