Just for the Halifax...

I get free lox with every bagel and cream cheese now.

The story with the slide show:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/02/automobiles/collectibles/02EGO.html

I'd been on a roll all week carrying my tiny Leica N40X LTM wherever I went
whenever to the movies to the bathroom and with the tiny do all know all
18-55mm kit lens on it. Which I got later when I found out how good it was.
This tiny inexpensive to the point of being disposable lens which gets
unbelievable specs and reviews.
It has no weight at all and does NOT inspire confidence in the hand.
It's build is -- well it has no build.

I felt I'd been shooting every thing and every body like crazy for a week
and a half with that lens and body and making out smelling like a rose so I
forsook ultrawide (12-24) and went for a flatter perspective this time round
on a car and its owner.

Paid off like hotcakes I think as they ran twice as many shots as they
usually do in the Sunday paper. And I loved the shots and got better
feedback from them than the previous from all concerned or non concerned.
And I always say that but this time its true.

Yes the same person (me) who will save up most of a year for a Leica M lens
costing 4 digits will stake the whole pile on a kit lens costing just over a
hundred. But I'd been shooting with it for months and had hundreds of images
to show for it. It gets into those hard to reach places. And keeps on
ticking. With plenty of pixies on the head of a pin.

Something to be said for traveling light.

Baby you're much 2 fast, yes U r
