Thanks for the invite Ric, Tina, Ted and a few others off-list.

I don't think Capt. Brian intended to censor us or have us sit on our  
hands.
This ship won't move without all hands on deck.
But rather he suggested ways for us to keep our sails taut and  
properly angled to the wind.

May I suggest some simple guidelines (definitely not rules) to myself  
and others?
        1. Offer constructive critiques (both positive and negative) - on 
list
        2. Offer simple (or lavish) praise, without citing reasons - off  
list - and do it often to encourage and guide
        3. Offer polite gratitude for the comments of others - off list -  
also often, if not always, just like our mamas told us
and of course
        4. When in doubt - on list - I don't want to miss any juicy gossip 
;~)
        5. Spontaneous chatter - on and off list - as the spirit moves us -  
lord knows we need the "lightness of being" in this world
