Jayanand

I have used the G1, and still own the G2 and 21, 28, 35, 45, and 90mm
lenses.

The G1 is nicely compact and light. Apart from that, the G2 by comparison
focuses a tad better, has a better VF and has a few extra bells and
whistles.

The lenses are typically Carl Zeiss quality and, even when new, IMO are one
of the most underpriced lenses that I have encountered. Pictures are of top
quality, whether in B&W, negs or chromes. When used properly, they also
exhibit the 3D effect that are typical of film photography.

At under $200, the G1 outfit that is offered would be considered a steal
many years back. However, in this day and age of digital imaging, you will
have to judge for yourself if that's worth it.

Leically,

Dan K.
