Not a bad solution: we don't see many of them in these parts, and I believe 
they are still fairly expensive. Helen's E500 is cheap and does a pretty 
good job. It can handle R lenes with an adaptor (and a lot of luck with 
focusing) so I'll likely stick with that solution. I am intending to "do" 
Chicago this year with the M8. I may be imagining it or becoming used to the 
noise, but the camera seems less noisy since its last trip to Solms. 

Which reminds me. The camera was holidaying for 6 months between the 2 trips 
and I am hoping Leica will at least extend the warranty that long. Better 
get writing in my best Pelikan fountain pen style.
