The color is the way the scan came out using the RAW negative setting on the
scanner.
When I desaturated it to B&W, it didn't seem as scary, so I left it.  I was
fortunate to see this situation as I was on my way to buy some coffee stout. 
I'm so glad I always have my M3 near me.
