Tina, following up on that big monitor. We had a small thread before 
regarding the Dell 2405FPW (which I have) that you were
considering. I now have the xRite Eye One to calibrate it. This does a 
better job than my old Spyder. For mine I can now confirm
that this model is quite bright. With the brightness known to 0, I still 
have a luminance figure of about 138 vs 120 considered best
for an LCD screen. Colour temp wise (using RGB gain)and contrast wise it is 
extremely good.
