Jeffery - when my original M8 gave out, I took it back to the dealer  
who contacted the local Leica rep and made arrangements.  However, he  
is the sort of guy who will follow up to ensure it is done.  You may  
want to see who the local rep is, and put some heat on him.  Best  
advice is to get annoyed and start making noises, as loud as possible.
