The Geology of East TN is the same as the Hebrides, actually they are part of the same mountain range split off when the plates drifted apart. I was told in Geology class in college that if one did a core sample in the northern Appalachian chain and the southern Hebrides it would appear they were a few miles apart, not thousands of miles apart. One of the useless bits one learns in getting a minor degree in Geology...LOL One thing I like about the internet is seeing peoples photos from all over the world and seeing how similar we all are. Look at photos from near Mongolia, looks like the Great Plains and the peoples of the world...well, we all are basically the same, have the same concerns for family, life and all that no matter where you are from or the color of your skin or what or who you call god.
