Provia 100 spectral response is more sensitive to blue light than is Velvia 
100F.
Next time you get a chance, think about trying the 21 Zeiss with the 486 
filter with Velvia 100F to see if there is a similar shift
to Provia 100.

Second ..... has anyone asked Schneider if the effect is caused by the 
filter?  They would know.

frank,  lens was zeiss 21, filter was bw and you would only see it @ the 
corners
