Despite looking like he put on his sunday best, this is the Flicker's
everyday attire. The female is a bit more discrete and goes without
the red lipstick. Flickers in the eastern and far northern parts of
North America have a black whisker mark and males have a red crescent
on the back of the neck. Thanks for looking and commenting.
