Subject: [Leica] Holocaust Memorial Day in Amsterdam

In addition to the week 5 pictures I just posted, I also have a more 
serious collection from that week, which did not fit in with the normal 
weekly pics. As most people know (I think), January 27th is Holocaust 
Memorial Day. In Amsterdam it is commemorated on the last Sunday of 
January (the Dutch tend to be practical about timing of commemorations 
and holidays...). I have attended the past couple of years. The format 
is to gather at the City Hall and walk from there in silence to the 
Auschwitz Monument about 1 km away. At the monument, there are a couple 
of speeches, a prayer and wreath-laying by various organisations and 
private individuals. Of course, I go primarily in order to participate 
in the commemoration, but since I have my camera with me anyway, there 
are some pictures too:
