For amusement, here is a gadget I picked up at a photo rummage ($2.00 US).
A Kam Lok from Johnson's of Hendon.  I'm guessing it's from the 1950's.
Something is missing from the spring-loaded release, thus the cord.  I
don't use quick releases, except for my Rolleifix, so I got this as a
curiosity for my collection.
