A lot of people think they're the only way to shoot. But your Canon rep for all his/her enthusiasm is not going to put a dent in the perception of Epson dominance of digital inkjet printing if they have made any effort to check out what's going on which in this age of the internet is not that hard to do. I this rep doesn't alter yours. Canon is perceived as being an ok way to go for glossy. Maybe. But that was last year or before and Epson has caught up and past them on that now. A year ago. For what that's worth because your not going to find any glossy prints in any galleries, collections or museums. Inkjet digital printing in anything resembling quality fine art mode is a matt paper ballgame. HP mentioned in the same breath as Epson just doesn't work out. HP is a total non contender in digital printing. Not in the running. Forgetaboutit. Put Canon in the same sentence maybe. HP printers are for office laser copying. They couldn't shoot ink out of a jet if their little corporate lives depended on it. And they don't offer pigment just ink. And pigment is the only way to fly if your into Inkjetting.
