If the budget is small, get something like on old Cambo or Orbit/B+J 4x5 monorails. Then put all your cash into a lens. For around $300 you can get a stupendous Schneider or Rodenstock 210 on the used market Buy your CFH new, it will actually save you money over buying used. If you have a larger budget, Wisner ( now out of business), Tachihara, Canham, Wista, and Linhof all made/make great field cameras. Look too at the Horseman, Ebony, Nagaoka, Ikeda, and a few others. All make great cameras. If you want a field camera with the accuracy of a Leica, then there is 1 choice.... Linhof Technikardan TK45S. I have one and live it. For a dark cloth, look up Camera Essentials, using the Harrison brand name. Great dark cloth. Remember that especially in LF, the camera is considered a box... it is the lenses you put in front that count. Frank Filippone red735i@earthlink.net
