Absolutely superb. Very moving.

Background for NG:

They're young, still impressionable, and, after surviving the unharnessed
fury of Hurricane Katrina, these children of New Orleans
are forever changed. Last April, National Geographic photography staff went
to the ravaged city, took 15 high school students under
wing, armed them with cameras and photography basics, and let them loose to
document their home after the storm.

Hurt and hope are reflected in their self-portraits and heartfelt words.
Follow them on a poignant journey through the largely
unscathed French Quarter and across the deeply scarred face of the
working-class Lower 9th Ward.
