My Canon D60 is four generations behind and still takes excellent quality photos. I plan to keep it until death (its or mine, whichever comes first). If I shot photos for a living I would probably want state of the art stuff to obtain that extra edge from faster focusing and extra pixels, but for this amateur, it is just fine. And if I would upgrade, I would just have to buy a new battery grip and all those new Canon lenses that fit only the new Canons <g>; Besides, compared to my Canon FD and Leica M kits, the D60 is absolutely modern.
