Road to madness :-) I heard they charge ~$900 to change VF magnification! 
Best to find one used.

Although not 100% foolproof, supposedly 285xxx+ are the ones with the MP 
viewfinder. There is also supposedly some color coating difference. Google 
and you will find the answers.
