Oddly enough, Don, I think that works, in this case, because it  
emphasizes the (apparent) powerlessness of the child, set off against  
the photo of Jesus on the wall.

I think it works.

As I look at it again, the shadow in the lower right is distracting.   
At first glance, it's almost like a flaw in the film or processing,  
or something.  Closer exam says, "Oh, its the shadow from the  
doorway."  But, it still distracts me.
