December 31 also qualifies, unless they mean "fiscal year"   Who knows what 
Leica's Fiscal Year is?

In any event, we are still not there.....

Has no one else noticed :  "The launch of the digital Leica rangefinder
camera is planned for the second half of 2006" ?   

This sounds promissing to my ears!  We are almost there now.
