Subject: [Leica] Photos Using SMC Takumar 50mm 1.4 Lens
From: jhnichols at bellsouth.net (Jim Nichols)

Last week, during a lengthy thread concerning various lenses that contained
rare earth glass which can emit radiation, someone suggested we had
discussed the subject enough, and should go out and use the lenses to take
pictures. I finished up a roll in my Spotmatic, and would like to show a
couple of examples, made with the 50mm f/1.4 Takumar and a 2X extender.
Since this was not Leica glass, I hesitated to submit them as "Friday
Flowers", but the quality of the lens is impressive to me. It shows no sign
of yellowing. I do not have access to a geiger counter to check for
radiation, but at my age, as someone suggested, it is not really a cause for
concern.

Comments and critiques are appreciated.
