A IIIc was my forst :Lecia and I still regard this as my camera of choice I also own a Leica IIIf rdst and a IIIg, but, agan, the camera I take for photography is the IIIc. I have no problems with that "squinty" VF. I rather like the IIIc's VF and RF. In use, the IIIg's VF and RF are essentially those of the IIIf with some ratrher pathetic efforts at including frame lines. (Yes, there were arguments within Leitz about this and egos got busted -- I wuz gonna write a book but mayhaps I should just send what I have written to VIEWFINDER.) My take would be to sell the IIIf, get a IIIc and go from there. An APDOO is a matter of dollars and a Geiss Kontakt is the same, especially in this era when no one recalls its use.
