I once saw some huge enlargements -- as in 40x60 inches -- from an early
Nikon DSLR that I think was around 2.5MP. Certain types of images are
more forgiving than others. But it's amazing what a person with the
right skills can do.

It's been done, over and over BD. Good PS is all that's needed.
