I am reminded of similar scenes in small towns and villages in southern Spain, where the private life takes place in public in the small squares and plazas. I watched family groups and individuals come out of their pueblo-like houses, in cramped quarters, sit in the plaza and conduct their business, with an apparent disregard for their neighbors at the next table. I also noticed that they didn't watch each other. There was a studied indifference to what was going on around them. Ken ----------------------------------- The Rev.
