Hey Ashley,
Vick and Don's advice, particularly about cutting the leader to make film
loading easier, are all good tips. Here's another: go to the auction site
and get yourself an old Norwood Director light meter. A good working one
will cost less than $20, and it will be calibrated in shutter speeds that
correspond with the old scale. They are very reliable, even 50 years later,
although not great in low light situations, and a classic. Make sure it has
the perforated high slide and lumisphere dome. Email me off-list it you have
?'s.
Cheers,
Arche
