The iDVD program, included in the Mac iLife suite lets you set up DVDs
of video films and/or slides but its DVD burning capabilities are plain
vanilla. Far more flexible are the various Toast programs ( 5, 6, and
7). These let you burn CDs suitable for PCs and Macs, video CDs which
let your create short videos, and DVDs which will play on any
commercial player. Toast will work with any Mac running a G3 processor
or later and with any incorporated or stand and CD or DVD recorder.
They make copying CDs and DVDs particularly easy
