I really wish I'd never sold mine. The M2 or IIIC that I sold I couldn't
care less about. But that 35mm pre-ASPH Summilux, I should have hung onto
that :-(

Ric,

I think you are on the right track. Of course it would be best to get 
the ASPH version, a fantastic lens, but the non-ASPH one is also good 
and is wonderfully compact. I would take the extra stop any time.
