Phil Nice Retina and pictures. I have a Retina IIc with 50/2.8 lens made circa 1954 and it takes beautiful people pictures. The roundness of the images (unlike the razor sharp attributes that more modern lenses are often compared against) makes it ideal for flattering portraits. Moreover, it is such a gem of a compact folding camera that it is an instant conversation piece and attention getter whenever you show it. A Retina is a camera that wins friends and influences people. Happy snaps! Dan K.
