Colen offered: >>Yes, there's a lot to learn with any new digital camera - far, far more >>than there was with our film cameras.<<< Oh my goodness mon ami you can say that again in capital bold letters! The film cameras have always been a simple piece of cake! Digital without question requires lessons, coaching, books, magazines and demonstrations. Not once, but with me it's again and again! :-( I'm still banging my damn head on concrete walls due to my complete on going frustrations with this *6%^*$#@?+&% RAW business! It's enough to drive me back to "fully automatic!" Or returning to film! Man I make a few camera changes s it says in the manual, works fine. Then shoot RAW images to down load thinking, OK I've software for RAW, I'm using CS2 and Bridges this should all be a piece of cake! Right? And I can't find anything that will do anything with a newly exposed RAW CF card that shows blank on computer screen but lot's of images while it's in the camera. And I'm back to not having a clue what the hell they're talking about in manuals which don't seem to consider the article should be written for a lower mental dummy than they've ever seen. Now I panic knowing I've made changes to the camera which means I have to go back to the manual and try to find how to make the camera do what it was doing so well before. Not to mention I'm cursing myself for attempting something everyone else finds so easy. Am I that stupid I can't do the same as others? After all we're all photgraphers and it's only a camera. No it isn't, it's a damn electronic machine with a mind of it's own! Now that I have that off my chest, thank you for bearing with me one more time. Now common sense logic has taken over on this sunny Sunday morning and I'm going in my garden to do some "man's work digging and raking!" And to hell with this machine and it's ancillary electronic nonsense! ;-) At least I know how to make a shovel and rake work! ;-) ted
