I have some of the lenses mentioned in the report. I don't have Leica R lenses, but I do use Nikon MF lenses with an adapter, and that should perform similarly w.r.t. the banding. I believe the only Leica R lenses which have problems on the 5D are the new 19 and 15, and the older Minolta designed 16 and 24. None should have problems on the 1D versions, as they have a smaller mirror. Tina or Nathan would know. -- * Henning J.
