I'm really not surprised by this. It's the nature of this new type of
warfare in which any living, breathing human being is fair game.

Reporters have become combantants become in this asymetrical war the
truth is a major enemy. Not that truth isn't always the enemy in a
war, but this on in particular would seem to target journalists. On
the insurgent side - hey, it's just a good deal to kill 'em because
you get bigger headlines. On the US/Iraqii side you pay for reportage
and devalue the real stuff.

It seems like the last thing the Middle East really wants is
high-quality journalism reporting what is REALLY happening there.
Someone might be held accountable!
