Subject: [Leica] Is the Angenieux 70-210 zoom for Leica R any good?

Hi Vick,

Many years ago I've tried the Angenieux 45 - 80 or 45 - 90 (I don't
remember) and compared with the 90 Summicron - R. I was surprised for the
great quality of this lens, in my opinion, better than Summicron. I've
tested both on a tripod, at full aperture, set at infinity, fine structures
of objects ware more appreciable on the Angenieux than on the Summicron.

I think that Angenieux belong to these great historical lenses, almost "hand
made", when I was doing films ...., many, so many years ago, with a Beaulieu
and a Angenieux zoom, was great, I also remember as a great lens the
Som-Berthiot.

Saludos desde Barcelona
Luis
