Which makes temperature calculations a breeze. I develop at 20 C. 68 F. 293.15 K. First, I measure my stock solution of Xtol. Lately, that's been running around 18 C. So, I adjust my tap until I have 22 C water coming out. Pour Xtol into graduated cylinder. Pour same amount of water into cylinder. Presto...exactly 20 C developer now. Same concept as when I was using 1:3. Xtol at 18 C. Water temp = (20 C - .25 * 18 C ) / .75 = 20.7 C. Presto...exactly 20 C developer. No water baths. No nothing. -- Eric http://canid.com/
