Well, I haven't compared the two. I chose the CV 28 because it too is very compact, and much more readily available than the Rokkor-M 28. I was also concerned about the white spot problem that the 28mm is supposed to be prone to. Anyone have any experience with the 40mm f1.4 CV lens? I've been toying with the idea of getting one of these for my CLE. Mark
