The parallax is off by precisely 2.5mm.

Look at it this way: all you have done is to offset the parallax by the
2.5mm.  You have not changed the angles involved.

Don't blame the equipment.

I recently went through a spate of finding negs where people had the
top of their
heads chopped off, if they were fairly close to camera.
