Aaron:  The food mode actually makes sense for a camera sold in Japan.  I 
have several times observed groups of Japanese tourists in restaurants 
taking photos of every dish served to them.

Now, a deep fried twinkie. . .  *that* makes no sense whatsoever!   :-)
