Subject: [Leica] R8 auto +/- exposure compensation

I have been playing some more with my R8 this afternoon.
Anyone know why the auto-bracket feature (3 shots in a row) does not work 
when you use a cable release?
Ever shot with cable release is taken at 'normal' exposure.
It only seems to work if you are manually depressing the shutter.
Something basic I am missing?
