Subject: [Leica] Summicron-M 35 Lens recommendations?

Okay, LUGers, I need some advice.

I'm getting ready to spring for a Summicron-M 35 lens, which I do not
have, and want to know the relative merits/demerits of a comparison
between the Summicron-M 1:2/35 and the Summicron-M 1:2/35 ASPH.

Budget considerations aside, for the moment, if I could buy either one,
which is my better choice?

Reading all the tech stuff doesn't mean a lot to me, so I would like the
input of folks who've used the lenses.
