Subject: [Leica] Unusual cropping on the crumb portrait
From: KCassidy at asc.upenn.edu (Kyle Cassidy)

Someone, well, actually, several someones pointed out that the crumb
portrait I posted had some unusual cropping.

In this full head shot taken at about the same time:

I realized there were two things that I wanted to eliminate from the frame
real-estate, firstly, that billowy puff of hair on the top of his head, and
secondly, his shirt which I found a little undistinguished. This called for
a wide shot. And, since I'm always assuming that my photos are going to
appear in Time, Newsweek, or the other news magazine of the same caliber,
People, I decided to leave some space to the left for copy.

Hope this was useful.
