the 645 folder is a nicely conceived camera indeed, big neg in a pocketable
(if you have big pockets) folder, with coupled meter and rangefinder.

but it is a bit fussy.
mine has been to the camera doctor half a dozen times, and you need
to handle it gently, load the film making sure it's tightly wound
(otherwise the roll gets too fat and the gearing goes on you). it's to
the point where i am almost afraid to use it for fear of breaking it!

there are not that many out there, and the few i've seen have not been
working quite right (not properly opening and closing, or rangefinder
or meter obviously off.) i advise checking any sample out in person.

I agree. I bought one and shot one roll, and took it on a vacation to
Germany. When I got there, in daily use, up against my M6, it was clunky,
noisy,
and with a slow f4 lens, not a happy street camera. I wish it was what it
wants to be. It would be a wonderful camera.
