Bolex is still around:

So is Singer

On the other hand, the Parker 51 is sadly departed, along with
Stromberg-Carlson's acoustic labrynth radio sets.

If the Rolex, Patek-Philippe, Rolls-Royce, Harley-Davidson, Smith & Wesson
and who knows how many other world-class names were to disappear at
along with the Stromberg-Carlsons, Duesenbergs, Parker 51s, Bolexes,
Underwoods and who knows how many other household names, every one would
still a big deal to knowledgeable consumers around the world and so it will
the Leica M. Period. End of discussion. --bob cole
